After 9/11 most Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) drawings
and maps of highly hazardous pipeline were removed from public access. After
protest from those endangered by pipeline facilities, some route and construction
maps were made available only to those nearby but denied posting to the Internet.
The order below removed the Internet ban. Thousands of drawings and maps
are now available at the
FERC E-library
website, all stamped "Non-Internet Public," although thousands more remain
restricted as CEII material.
